Escape Road 2 Controls
A or Left Arrow steers left. D or Right Arrow steers right. S or Down Arrow brakes and reverses. Space exits or enters a vehicle. There is no accelerate key: after you tap a steer key on the start screen, the getaway car already rolls forward.
| Action | Key |
|---|---|
| Steer left | A or Left Arrow |
| Steer right | D or Right Arrow |
| Brake / reverse | S or Down Arrow |
| Exit / enter vehicle | Space |
| Pause | Esc |
Esc opens pause, and that menu lists these keys. Do not treat Space as a handbrake; it throws you out of the seat or drops you into a new one. When cops pin your bumper to a wall or a roadblock, hold S, turn, then drive out. Forcing the nose through a gap between buildings is how a run ends before the helicopters show up.
How to Play Escape Road 2
You spawn beside the bank with $1000 in the cash box and SCORE at 0 in the top-right HUD. The start screen still says CLICK TO START; the chase actually begins when you steer. Police close in from the streets around the bank. Keep the car moving, grab the cash piles sitting on the road, and stay out of solid buildings.
Large buildings and heavy objects do not yield. Lampposts and fences can break. If you get wedged, reverse with S instead of holding the turn into the wall. Cash you pick up is how you progress in Escape Road 2: every $500 you hold buys one fruit-machine spin. Open this page from Dune Dash, press Play, then steer off the curb. Fall into water and the run is over. Later in the same chase, helicopters join the pursuit.
How to Escape the Police Faster
Space ejects you from the current car so you can run to another vehicle instead of dying in the wreck. After you bail, a line points at the nearest car you can enter. Sprint there and tap Space again. You get three lives on foot. A cop bullet or a hit from traffic costs one life. Standing in the street to look around is how those lives vanish.
Steal a police 4x4 or a SWAT van when your hood is smoking; those rides take more hits than a civilian car. Squeeze a small car through an alley so tanks and armored trucks jam behind you. Once the hood smoke turns black, jump out while another car is still on screen. If a crash throws you airborne, exiting deploys a parachute so you can land near a new ride. Helicopters and planes cannot be entered.
Cars and Unlockables
The car icon at the bottom-left of the start screen opens the garage. The fruit-machine icon beside it spends cash on a random unlock. You begin a session with $1000, so you can spin before you even steal the first extra car. Each spin costs $500. Duplicates can drop.
Unlocks sit in Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary groups. Legendary cars show a special perk on the select screen. There is no tune shop and no part upgrades — the car you spin is the car you drive from the garage. During a chase you are not limited to owned cars. Escape Road 2 lets you hijack traffic, so a taxi, a cop cruiser, or a fire truck can become the next ride without a spin. If you want a steering-only score run on a track instead of a city hijack, open Drift Boss.
Tips for a Higher Score
White smoke on the hood means the car is damaged. Black smoke means one more hard hit will wreck it. Bail with Space before that hit if another vehicle is close. You have three lives on foot and only the car’s durability while driving, so hopping out of a dying wreck is usually safer than riding it into a cop bumper.
Bank cash for fruit-machine spins; the $1000 you spawn with is already two spins if you do not crash-spend it. Use S to reverse out of a box instead of turning into a wall. Do not cut across water. When an in-game arrow points off the main road, follow it — hidden rides sit in themed spots, including a bomb-dropping pickup at the funfair and F1 cars on a track. Space is exit or enter, not jump. If you want a keyboard run where the key actually hops a gap, that is Run 3.
Escape Road vs Escape Road 2
The first Escape Road locks you in one car for the whole run. This sequel lets you press Space, leave that car, and steal another, including police vehicles. Cops on foot now shoot, so a long walk between rides is a real threat. A mid-air exit deploys a parachute, which the original does not give you.
The fruit machine is on the main menu here; in the first game you had to earn a spin during the chase. Pause now lists the keys and can send you back to the menu. The wanted level also climbs past the original’s five-star cap, with helicopters and heavier vehicles joining as you survive. Score still lives in the top-right box and still feeds the same cash-and-spin loop.
FAQ
Is Escape Road 2 free to play?
In-game cash in Escape Road 2 starts at $1000 and only pays for fruit-machine spins. You do not pay to press Play on this page. The $500 spin cost is chase money, not a checkout.
Can I play Escape Road 2 unblocked at school?
You play Escape Road 2 in this browser tab after Play; there is no installer. If the tab loads, A, D, S, and Space work here. If the school filter already blocks this domain, this page cannot jump that filter.
Is there a no-ads version?
There is no separate paid no-ads download or APK for this chase. You start from the Play button on this URL. HUD cash buys fruit-machine cars, not an ad-removal pass.
Do I need to download anything?
No file, launcher, or store install. Click Play on this page and the bank scene loads in the tab. Keyboard controls work in that window; you do not install a client to use Space to bail out.
